With 20 years in NASCAR coverage, Rutledge began in mobile marketing for Country Music Television before joining Speed Channel (Fox Sports) in 2005. He moved to NBC Sports in 2015 as a NASCAR features reporter and also covered the Olympics in 2016, 2018, and 2021.
Beyond motorsports, Wood has hosted multiple TV shows, including Hot Wheels Ultimate Challenge on NBC Primetime, Hyperdrive and American BBQ Showdown for Netflix, co-hosted Top Gear US, and starred in Southern and Hungry on the Cooking Channel.
